Celebrating the ‘magic’ of glass photographic slides from the late 19th century, Magic Lantern conjures the dark and brooding early park-scapes of Melbourne. The exhibition identity draws upon the embellished script typefaces of the 1890s, framed as a form of illumination – in all its senses.
