The typographic identity for the History Teachers Association of Victoria (HTAV) is based on the dynamic relationship between history and the future, using the unique combination of the ‘A’ and ‘V’ letterforms to represent that which precedes and that which follows. Rather than try to illustratively encapsulate history (as the previous identity attempted) this reductive identity system was rolled-out across a wide range of print and online material, resulting in a greater uptake of engagement and sales.
